ABOUT

Born and raised in Southern Germany, Berlin based writer and director Hannah Walker has had a passion for storytelling and shooting her own “movie” projects from an early age on.

After moving to Berlin at 18 years old, Hannah has since graduated from Catalyst Institute of Creative Arts & Technology with a BA(HONS) in Film Production and completed Screenwriting and Screenacting courses at New York Film Academy and StoryKiez. Additionally, she interned at the Berlin-Bolzano based Production Company “Sandgrain” and successfully completed a Screenwriting Education at Masterschool Drehbuch in Berlin.

Hannah has since interned in the directors department at Maxim Gorki Theater, where she was part of the crew for Kafkas “Prozess” as well as worked as a production intern for Wood Water Films. She currently works as a Casting Assistant to Casting Director Liza Stutzky.

In her work, Hannah cares deeply about girlhood and contemporary struggles women face in a modern world. She believes in the impact of every day moments, not seldom dismissed as inconspicuous, which become subject of the narrative in her work.

When she is not behind the camera, Hannah can be found in the local Lagree Studio, studying French or at the theatre.
